Continuous Development

Throughout the year, we have plenty of opportunities for you to continue your development as a paddler. If you are at the British Canoeing Discover ability, we hope you would be looking to get involved in our monthly recreational trips.

To help you master the fundamentals of canoeing and/ or kayaking, we hold British Canoeing Explore Award courses throughout summer months. Again, we hope after you’ve reached this standard you will be looking to get involved in our monthly development trips.

Safety is paramount to us at Ribble Canoe Club, hence why we hold an annual white water swimming and safety day, sea navigation workshops and pool sessions covering rescue skills.

All included in your annual membership fee (except. British Canoeing Award Courses and Pool Sessions)

Pool Sessions

Throughout the year, we run regular swimming pool based sessions designed to increase recovery skills and water confidence in a safe warm environment. Recovery skills can start from basic capsize drills to more complex skills, such as rolling and bracing.

Additionally, we hold dicipline specific sessions. These include Canoe Polo, Slalom, Play Boating and much more!

All pool sessions are advertised on our member forum and our Facebook page

Pool Sessions are £7.00 per person, except for our rolling course. For more information, please e-mail enquiries@ribblecanoeclub.org.uk

Recreational Paddling

The heart and soul of Ribble Canoe Club lies within our recreational paddling. Throughout the year, we ensure that we give every opportunity for paddlers to have fun and gain experience of various forms of paddling.
