What happens if I find an issue?

All equipment is regularly checked by the quartermaster however sometimes issues slip by, or occur betwwen checks. When borrowing equipment members should check that they are happy with its condition, Sit in the boat and make sure it can be adjusted and that the foot plate, seat and backband are all working as expected, try on any PFD that you are borrowing and ensure that it fits and that all of the clasps and zips are working.

If you find an issue when at the container, let us know and we will endeavour to get the problem resolved as quickly as possible.

If you are out with the equipment when you encounter the problem you should only carry on using it if you deem it to be safe - do not take any chances.

How do I report an issue that I have found

There are three ways to report issues:

1. In person if you are at the container tell us.
2. Via the web app.
3. Via email

If you are out when you find the issue the quickest and easiest way to report a problem is via the new booking web app which you can find here.
Using the web app is simple, you just need to log in, click "Report a problem", fill in the form, take a picture of the issue and hit send.

Using the web app ensures that the issue is logged, sent to the QM and will be reported to the committee.

If you cannot use the app, the final way to report a problem is to email quartermaster@ribblecanoeclub.org.uk
