As a club we are following the guidance of British Canoeing which is going to change as time goes on and we as the committee will continually review the advice being given from BC and the Government and will advise our members. We have considered the options for returning to paddling and have decided to have limited paddling activity.

Each year the club holds a weekend camp at Rhosneigr, Anglesey. The camp remains one of our longest running in the club calendar. The camp is always a relaxed affair with a good array of paddling journeys and associated antics. 2019 was no different and even saw many members getting out on the Friday for a trip along the Menai Strait passing under its two picturesque bridges, the Menai Bridge and the Britannia Bridge.

Last Sunday saw the follow up to last years RCC Paddlympics Summer FUN Day at Coniston. Throughout the day there was some outstanding paddling being displayed by our fabulous members whilst they competed for individual race victories and the overall Paddlympic titles. A fabulous time was had by all on the clubs latest beginners trip - an annual all inclusive sea paddle run by our fearless leader Roy and his second in command Mr Neil Eccles to Tayvallich. A small fishing village on the shores of Loch Sween, on the West coast of Scotland, in Argyll, supplying spectacular scenery, vast array of wildlife and scrumptious food.

Our Woodsmoke weekend is the only camp on the club calendar that does not involve any paddling. The purpose of the camp is to give members the opportunity to practice camp craft and learn new skills, before putting them to use along any paddling journeys later in the year.
